One of the best ways to improve the health of your family is to remove toxins from your diet by purchasing organic food. However, if you’re like most families, purchasing everything organic can stretch your budget a little too thin.

Recently, I shared the 14 toxic foods you should always buy organic. Those are full of toxins and should be your priority when shopping for organic produce. Thankfully, there’s another list to help you make healthier choices for your plate and your wallet.

When the Environmental Working Group developed the Dirty Dozen, they also developed the Clean Fifteen. These produce are the least likely to hold pesticide residue. During their testing few pesticides were found on these foods and there was a low concentration of those that were present.

  • Pineapples
  • Cabbage
  • Frozen Sweet Peas
  • Onions
  • Asparagus
  • Mangoes
  • Papayas
  • Kiwi

  • Cauliflower
  • Sweet Potatoes

I know a few items on this list aren’t exactly staples in most homes, but I was extremely excited to see avocados and sweet potatoes on the list. We eat one or the other almost daily in our house.
